What is manual funding?

What is manual funding?

When manual funding is enabled, you will only be able to spend the funds that have been manually transferred into your Super deposit account. If you attempt to make a purchase which exceeds this amount, the transaction will be declined.

When manual funding is disabled, we will spot up to $500 per purchase and automatically initiate repayment from your linked debit card which will allow you to complete the transaction.

This limit will increase over time and with consistent usage; however, if you need to make a purchase that exceeds your current limit, you can add funds to your Super deposit account first to boost the amount you can spend.

Please note that you must have a linked debit card to access this feature.

What if I don’t have enough money in my Super deposit account?

When you use your Super Card, Super will spot up to $500 per purchase and automatically pay ourselves back using your linked debit card. You can think of it as a VERY short-term advance (seconds, not days). This limit will increase over time and with consistent usage.

If you need to make a purchase that exceeds your current limit, you can add funds to your Super deposit account first to boost the amount you can spend.

Please note that you must have a linked debit card to access this feature.

Is turning off manual funding the same as Cash Advance?

When manual funding is turned off, Super will spot up to $500 per purchase and pay ourselves back using your linked payment method. This is done automatically at checkout to help prevent declines due to an insufficient Super deposit account balance. You can consider it a VERY short-term advance (seconds, not minutes or days).

Cash Advance is a longer-term advance (7 days) and requires you to manually request funds.

Will I be charged fees if I turn off manual funding?

Whether you choose to enable or disable manual funding, you will not be charged any fees.
